ORDINANCE NO. 93-4-4930
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-12(A)(8) REGULATIONS
FOR THE INSPECTION OF PUBLIC RECORDS OF THE PADUCAH CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. Definitions.
(a) Prior to the development of rules and
regulations governing access to public records, it is important
that the relevant terminology be clearly understood by all.
The following terms, when used in these regulations, shall have
the meaning ascribed to them in this section, except where the
context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning:
(8) "Reasonable Fee" or "Fee" shall mean the fair
payment required by a public agency for making
copies of public records which shall not exceed
the actual cost thereof and shall not include
the cost of staff time required. The fee
charged by this public agency for making copies
of an 8
1/2" X 11" or 8 1/2" X 14" shall be fifty cents
($.50) per page. The fee charged for
duplications for larger documents such as maps,
plats, etc., shall be fifty cents ($.50) per
square foot per page for large copies.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
