AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 64, APPENDIX A - ZONING,
OF THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. Sec. 64, Appendix A - Zoning, of the
Paducah Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 64.06. Minimum Lot Requirements.
Minimum Area: One (1) Acre
Minimum Frontage Width: i50 -ft -
100 ft. per lot
Sec. 64.07. Minimum Yard Requirements.
Front: 50 ft.
Side: 30 ft.
Street Side: 50 ft.
Rear: 50 ft.
Maximum Coverage: 50% (Building only, surface
parking excluded)
Maximum Height: Five stories, except minimum
yard standards are increased
by five (5) feet for each
story over three (3) stories
or 35 feet.
Sec. 64.011. Landscaping.
1. A minimum of ten (10) percent of the entire lot
shall be devoted to landscaping. Up to fifty
(50) percent of this requirement may be credited
toward preservation of substantial naturally
occurring trees, shrubbery, wildflowers, water
courses, and rock formations. Areas of
preservation should be inventoried and indicated
on site plans.
2. Parking Lot Landscaping Requirements:
a) For each one hundred (100) square feet or
fraction thereof of vehicular use area, a
minimum of five (5) square feet of landscaped
area shall be provided; and may be included
inside of islands, peninsulas, and other
geometric devices use to encourage vehicle
circulation.
3. In addition to subsection 1 above, screening per
section 40.17(a) of this ordinance shall be
provided in the rear yards of those lots which abut
adjacent properties outside of the POP zone.
SECTION 2. That if any section, paragraph or provision
of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective
or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such
section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other

section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and
intent of this ordinance to make each and every section,
paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections,
paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary publication
pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
