HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-6-4943133 ORDINANCE NO. 93-%6-4943 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 FOR ADDITIONAL RADIO EQUIPMENT WITH MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS INC. INCREASING THE TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT TO A SUM NOT TO EXCEED $981,049.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 92-4-4754, the City approved an ordinance accepting the bid of,Motorola Communications Inc., in the amount of $948,230.00 for the purchase, installation, and construction of an 800 MHz radio communications system and authorized the Mayor to execute a contract for same; and WHEREAS, Motorola Communications, Inc., has submitted Change Order No. 2 to the above referenced contract requesting the total sum due under said contract be increased by $32,819.00 for additional radio equipment; and WHEREAS, said request has been approved by Fire Chief Gerald Stewart and City Manager Jim Pennington; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Change Order No. 2 for additional radio equipment with Motorola Communications, Inc., increasing the total contract amount to a sum not to exceed $981,049.00 b is be, and hereby approved. SECTION 2. The the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to execute Change Order No. 2 to the aforesaid contract. SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to account number 40-18-01. SECTION 4. This ordinance will be read on two separate days and will become effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
