ORDINANCE NO. 93-8- 5 -0 -0,,7 -
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE ZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2735 KENTUCKY AVENUE, AND AMENDING THE
PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH ZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the
Paducah Planning Commission on August 16, 1993, entitled, "A
RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH
PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED ZONE CHANGE AND
DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2735 KENTUCKY
AVENUE FROM R-2, LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, TO R-41 HIGH
DENSITY RESIDENTIAL ZONE be approved as the final report of
said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification and the
map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same
are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehen-
sive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the
following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-2,
Low and Medium Density Residential, to R-4, High Density
Residential Zone:
Beginning at a point marking the intersection of
the centerlines of Kentucky Avenue and 28th
Street; thence in a northerly direction along the
centerline of 28th Street, 206.25 feet to a point;
thence at right angles and along the centerline of
a 24 foot public alley and in an easterly direction,
130.0 feet to a point; thence at right angles and
in a southerly direction, 206.23 feet to a point
in the centerline of Kentucky Avenue; thence, at
right angles and in a westerly direction along the
centerline of Kentucky Avenue, 130.0 feet to the
point of beginning.
The above described parcel of land contains
26,812.50 square feet.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or
provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inopera-
tive, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall
not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof,
it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make
each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof
separable from all other sections, paragraphs and
provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
