HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-8-4999220 ORDINANCE NO. 93-8-4999 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIM SMITH CONTRACTING COMPANY, INC., FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF BITUMINOUS COLD MIX FOR THE YEAR 1993-94, TO BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION WORK, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid o Jim Smith Contracting Company, Inc., to furnish, sell and deliver (to any point within city limits) the City of Paducah's requirement of bituminous cold mix for the year 1993-94 to be used in street construction, in compliance with, and as contained in the bid of Jim Smith Contracting Company, Inc., dated August 17, 1993, for the following prices: APPROX UNIT BID DESCRIPTION QUANTITY UNIT PRICE AMOUNT Bituminous Cold Mix 500 Tons $28.00 $14,000.00 TOTAL BID $14,000.00 SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Jim Smith Contracting Company, Inc., for sale to the City of the material authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. Jim Smith Contracting Company will furnish to the City, within ten (10) days after execution of said contract, a performance bond in the amount of $1,000.00. SECTION 4. The purchase price for said material shall be charged to Municipal Aid Program Account No. 03-22-14-384. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
