OF PENSION CONTRIBUTIONS . / WHEREAS in Jul of 1975 the Cit of Paducah elected to cover �_"l Y Y its employees under the. County Employees Retirement System; and WHEREAS, the City.of Paducah elected to include City Commissioners as full-time employees. under the County Employees Retirement System; and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah treated the inclusion under the County Employees Retirement System as an election by each City Commissioner instead of the mandatory election made by the City; and WHEREAS, the County Employees Retirement System has determined that the City of Paducah is in arrears on the City's contribution.towards pensions for City Commissioners in the amount of $14,382.10. BE IT ORDAINED: _Y .THE CITY)tOFi PADUCAH; KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Treasurer be authorized to pay to the, Kentucky; S_ta:te:-Treasures, onj behalf.; of: theCounty.:_ Empl.oye�es Retirement System the sum :o£$jL4N 322,10 a%i thei,Caty'.s., port ,on., of. pension contributions for Commissioners of the City of Paducah between January 1, 1976, and December 31, 1987. SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is directed to withhold pension contributions from the earnings checks of City Commissioners, starting on the first day of January, 1988, and forward said sums, along with the City's share of pension contributions, to the County Employees Retirement System. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read read on two separate days and will become effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
