ORDINANCE NO. 87-7-3032
AN -ORDINANCE APPROVING THE_SALE.OF REAL ESTATE TO C. RONALD
JAMES AND JAMES R. HUNTER,FOR_THE SUM OF $5,625.00
:WHEREAS,, ;.this property.is between the flo;odwall and the
Tennessee River; and
WHEREAS, THE City does not have any use at this time or in
the future for said property, which constitutes surplus.real estate;
and
WHEREAS, this property has been appraised by an independent
appraiser for $2,500.00 per acre, for a total value of $5,625.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the sale of real estate to C. Ronald James
and James R. Hunter be approved for the sum of $5,625.00, said property
being more particularly described as follows:
A parcel of land lying north (river side) of a line 25
feet north (river side) of the City of Paducah
Floodwall, extending to the Tennessee River, and east
of Island Creek and west of the property owned by James
& Hunter Marine, Inc., adjacent to 1810 South 4th
Street, Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel is hereby authorized to
prepare a deed for the above-described real estate, and the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute said deed and any other documents
necessary for the sale of said property.
SECTION 3. In order to accommodate the purchaser and
expedite the sale of this surplus property, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective with one
reading.
