HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-4-299450 ORDINANCE NO. 87-4-2994 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON OLD MAYFIELD ROAD AND GUTHRIE AVENUE, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on March 16, 1987, entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED RE- ZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON OLD MAYFIELD ROAD AND GUTHRIE AVENUE", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, de- clared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following IL property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3, Medium Density Residential Zone to B-1, Convenience and Service Zone: Beginning at a point in the center line where Mayfield Road and Guthrie Avenue intersect; thence in a northerly direction a distance of 164.50 feet to a point in the center line of Mayfield R:oad;.thence in an easterly direction a distance of 173 feet to a point in the center line of a 16 foot alley; thence in a southerly direction along the center line of an existing alley a di'stance of 149 feet to a point in the center line of Guthrie Avenue; thence in a westerly direction along the center, line of Guthrie Avenue a distance of 178 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs, and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
