ORDINANCE NO. 95-�- _S;1 -4c)
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE
ORDER NO. 1 IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,246.15 FOR THE COMPOST FACILITY
EXPANSION PROJECT CONTRACT WITH A & K CONSTRUCTION, INC.
INCREASING THE TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT TO $138,181.15, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 94-10-5210, the City
approved an ordinance accepting the bid of A & K Construction,
Inc., in the amount of $130,935 for the Compost Facility
Expansion Project and authorized the Mayor to execute a
contract for same; and
WHEREAS, A & K Construction, Inc., has submitted
Change Order No. 1 to the above referenced contract requesting
the total sum due under said contract be increased by
$7,246.15 in order to meet long range planning needs for future
expansion and to avoid unnecessary maintenance problems; and
WHEREAS, said request has been approved by the City
Engineer and City Manager.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $7,246.15, for the
Compost Facility Expansion Project contract with A & K
Construction, Inc., increasing the total contract amount to
$138,181.15.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to
account number 055-3310-532-4245.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
