ORDINANCE NO. 95-8- S-3 Sp
AN ORDINANCE FINALIZING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO
BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
west of and adjacent to the resent city limits
WHEREAS, a tract of property � p t3'
along Blandville Road, is urban in character and suitable for development for urban purposes
without unreasonable delay; and
WHEREAS, the property is continuous to the present corporate limits of the City,
and it is desirable and necessary to annex the hereinafter described property; and
WHEREAS, said tracts of land are not within the boundary of another
incorporated city; and
WHEREAS, KRS 81A.412 provides that a city may annex any area which meets
the necessary requirements if each of the owners of record of such land consent in writing to the
annexation; and
WHEREAS, the owners have requested such annexation in writing to the Mayor
and Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
'p SECTION 1. It is the intent of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to finalize the
annexation of the hereinafter described property, and therefore that the hereinafter described
property be annexed to, and be made a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky; said real property
being more particularly and accurately described as follows:
Lying North of U.S. Highway 62 and being part of the
Thomas and Charlotte Watson property recorded in Deed
Book 615, page 672, McCracken County Court Clerk's
office, McCracken County, Kentucky and more
particularly bounded and described as follows to wit:
Beginning at a point in the West line of the Thomas and
Charlotte Watson property recorded in Deed Book 615,
page 672, said point being N 220 14' 34" W as measured
along said West line, 429.20 feet from a rebar in the
North right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 62 that is S
800 39' 40" W as measured along said North right-of-way
line, 1.02 feet from a concrete right-of-way monument
(80 feet from the centerline thereof) said monument
being square to a point in the centerline of said U.S.
Highway 62 (centerline station 149+76.10 feet) that is
133.90 feet as measured Westwardly along said
centerline from its intersection with the centerline of
Highland Church Road; THENCE FROM SAID POINT OF
BEGINNING N 220 14' 34" W, 230.85 feet to a point in a
creek; thence Northeastwardly with said creek for the
following 3 calls: N 340 53' 56" E, 115.28 feet to a
point; N 180 45' 21" E, 103.84 feet to a point and N 10
24' 34" E, 105.88 feet to .a corner post with fence on
the North side of said creek; thence Northeastwardly
with said creek for the following 9 calls:
N 790 42' 31" E, 125.32 feet to a point; N 560 10' 08"
E, 105.01 feet to a point; N 630 50' 45" E, 206.13 feet

to a point; S 460 28' 02" E, 25.23 feet to a point; N
790 07' 36" E, 33.35 feet to a point; N 630 29' 30" E,
58.42 feet to a point; N 740 22' 08" E, 76.16
feet to a point; N 690 27' 41" E, 90.87 feet to a point
and N 530 58' 06" E, 59.72 feet to a rebar on the South
side of said creek; thence S 10 07' 59" W, 692.72 feet
to a rebar at the Northeast corner of Tract 2 per
"Waiver of Subdivision for Trinity United Methodist
Church of Paducah", recorded in Plat Section "K", page
628; thence S 820 25' 03" W with the North line of said
Tract 2, 712.70 feet to a rebar at the Northwest corner
thereof, the point of beginning and containing 10.000
acres as shown on "Waiver of Subdivision for Trinity
United Methodist Church of Paducah" prepared by Hunter
Martin & Associates, Inc. recorded in Plat Section "K",
page 628.
There is also included with the above conveyance a 50
foot easement lying on the North side of U.S. Highway
62 and being 25 feet either side of the following
described centerline:
Beginning at a point in the North right-of-way line of
U.S. Highway 62 that is N 810 17' 57" E as measured
along said North right-of-way line, 24.69 feet from a
concrete right-of-way monument (80 feet from the
centerline thereof) that is square to a point in the
centerline of said U.S. Highway 62 (centerline station
149+76.10 feet) which is 133.90 feet as measured
Westwardly along said centerline from its intersection
with the centerline of Highland Church Road; THENCE
FROM SAID POINT OF BEGINNING N 220 14' 34" W, 428.67
feet to a point in the South line of tract 1 per
"Waiver of Subdivision for Trinity United Methodist
Church of Paducah" recorded in Plat Section "K", page
628, said point being N 820 25' 03" E as measured along
said South line, 25.84 feet from the Southwest corner
thereof.
SECTION 2. This ordinance of annexation shall be read on two separate days and
upon publication the territory described above shall become a part of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, for all purposes.
