DISTRICT", SECTIONS 19-17.0, 19-171, 19-172, 19-173 AND 19-174
OF CHAPTER' 19`; "MISCELLANEOUS OFFENSES AND PROV I S IONS" , OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Article IX, "Non -Transportation Use
of Vehicles and Trailers in the Downtown Business District", of
Chapter 19 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, is hereby created and ordained to read as follows:
"ARTICLE IX. Non -Transportation Use of Vehicles and
Trailers in the Downtown Business District."
"Section 19-170 Purpose and Intent.
It is the purpose of this ordinance to regulate the
non -transportation related uses of vehicles and
trailers on private properties and parking lots in
the downtown business district. Such vehicles and
accessories may be used only for the regular
transportation and delivery of goods and chattel and
for the movement of people."
"Section 19-171. Area Regulated.
For the purpose of this section the downtown business
district shall be described as the area between
Jefferson and Kentucky Avenue, from _9th Street to
the Ohio River."
"Section 19-172. Use Limitations.
No motor vehicle, trailer, semi -trailer, bus, van or
recreational vehicle, whether open or enclosed, shall
be used for the non -transportation related uses of
material storage, human occupation, or the sale of
goods and services. All such vehicles must at all

"Section 19-173. Exceptions.

b) The temporary use of said vehicles by
licensed contractors engaged in permitted
construction projects. The Building Inspector
may issue a temporary use permit for this
activity.
c) The Building Inspector may issue ten (10)_1
permits for non -transportation related uses as
described in Section 19-172 for festivals,
celebrations or special events."
"Section 19-174. Administration and Enforcement.
The Building Inspector shall administer and enforce
and provisions of this section. Any person or entit,
violating the provisions of this section shall be
guilty of a violation, and upon conviction .in the
court of proper jurisdiction, shall be fined any sum
not less than ten dollars ($10.00) or more than one
hundred dollars ($100-00) for each offense, and each
day such violation is committed or permitted to
continue shall constitute a separate offense and
shall be punishable as such."

SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication in
full.
