ORDINANCE NO. 96-4-,S—(/ T-�
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-18(c) AND CREATING
SECTION 2-28(e) OF ARTICLE II, CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Sec. 2-28, Group life insurance
generally, is hereby amended and reordained to read as follows:
"Sec. 2-28. Group life insurance generally.
"(c) The Commonwealth Life Insurance Company of
Louisville, Kentucky, having proposed a plan of such group life
insurance and by the terms of which each member of said group
of insurance as herein provided would have an insurance benefit
on his life in the sum of UAItWOAAd twelve thousand five
hundred dollars ( $Z01000/00) ($12,500.00).
"(e) Pursuant to an agreement between the City and
the Fraternal Order of Police bargaining unit, the City's group
life insurance policy shall contain a rider providing for
double indemnity for a police officer killed in the line of
duty and additional benefits for loss of limb(s) or sight.
" These additional benefits shall become effective May 1, 1996.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute by
signing, on behalf of the City, an application or contract for
the procurement of such insurance.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
