AMERICAN LEGION POST 31 BASEBALL FOR USE AND UPKEEP OF BROOKS
STADIUM

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to enter into an Agreement with American Legion Post
31 Baseball for the nonexclusive use for American Legion
Baseball programs, and further providing that:
a) American Legion Post 31 shall pay to the City the
amount of $12,000 and be responsible for the upkeep and
maintenance of the playing field, as is more specifically set
forth in the Agreement; and
b) The aforesaid use shall be in conjunction with
Paducah Tilghman High School and other users of the stadium and
may be cancelled by the City with one year's notice.
SECTION 2. The aforesaid Agreement shall not be
effective until it has been executed by both parties and a
written recommendation is given by the Brooks Stadium
Commission.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
