ORDINANCE NO. 97-8-5708
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A UTILITY
EASEMENT AMENDMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND PADUCAH WATER
WORKS TO ENLARGE THE ORIGINAL RECORDED EASEMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
l A WATER MAIN AT THE TELE -SERVICE PROPERTY LOCATED ON IRVIN COBB DRIVE

WHEREAS, the City of Paducah adopted Ordinance No. 97-4-5567 providing for
permanent utility easements across parcels of land belonging to the City to Paducah Water Works for the
Southside Pump Station Renovation project on April 22, 1997; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise the easement area for the Tele -Service property
located on Irvin Cobb Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to include the additional area required for this project.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Utility Easement
Amendment between the City of Paducah and Paducah Water Works to enlarge the original
recorded easement for the installation of a water main at the Tele -Service property located on
Irvin Cobb Drive.
SECTION 2. The following amended easement as set out in Section 1 above are
more particularly described as follows:
Tele -Service Building property on Irvin Cobb Drive. A 15' wide
permanent utility easement 105' along Irvin Cobb Drive at Locust Drive with a 25'
01 temporary construction easement:
From the Grantor's southeast property corner, said point being located in
the north Right of Way of Irvin Cobb Drive and being common with the
west Right of Way of Locust Drive; thence, in a westerly direction along
the north Right of Way of Irvin Cobb Drive a distance of 105 feet to a
point located in the north Right of Way of Irvin Cobb Drive.
In addition, a 25' temporary construction easement will parallel the above
mentioned perpetual easement opposite the north Right of Way of Irvin
Cobb Drive for the entire length of said easement.
Said tract being a portion of the property conveyed to the City of Paducah
as described in Deed Book 758, Page 642 in the McCracken County Court
Clerk's Office.
West Right of Way of Locust Drive. A parcel of land 15 feet in width lying west
of, adjacent to, and parallel with the following described portion of the west Right of Way of
Locust Drive:
From the Grantor's southeast property corner, said point being located in the north
Right of Way of Irvin Cobb Drive and being common with the west Right of Way
of Locust Drive; thence, in a northerly direction along the west Right of Way of
Locust Drive a distance of 15 feet to the point of beginning of said utility
easement; thence, in a northerly direction along the west right of way of Locust
Drive 55 feet to a point, said point being the ending point of the utility easement.
Said parcels being portions of the property conveyed to the City of Paducah as
described in Deed Book 758, Page 642 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's
Office.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective
upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
