A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE
COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY, TRANSPORTATION CABINET,
DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 FOR THE SOUTH
21sT STREET REHABILITATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, on June 23, 2026, the Board of Commissioners adopted
Municipal Order No. 3268, authorizing application and acceptance of HB501 Grant Pool
Funds; and
WHEREAS, the City requested and received $100,000 for the South 21'
Street Rehabilitation. The total project estimate is $464,000 for total rehabilitation of 0.5
miles of South 21" Street from Kentucky Avenue to Ohio Street/Beltline Highway.
Paducah requested $100,000 in Grant Pool Program Funds to apply to a portion of the
overall project; and
WHEREAS, grant and matching funds totaling $200,000 will be used for
curb and gutter, entrance ramps and handicap ramps; and
WHEREAS, this project is on the FY27 Street Rehabilitation Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Board of Commissioners does hereby ratify and adopt all
statements, representations, warranties, covenants, and agreements contained in said
Agreement and does hereby accept the funds provided in said Agreement and by such
acceptance agrees to all the terms and conditions therein stated.
SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of Paducah is hereby authorized and directed
to sign said Agreement as set forth on behalf of the Board of Commissioners of the City
of Paducah, and the City Clerk of Paducah is hereby authorized and directed to certify
thereto.
SECTION 3. Required match funds and the balance of the project costs
shall be paid from the MAP Fund, Account Number 2300 2217 542270.
SECTION 4. This Order shall be in full force and effec m and after the date
of its adoption.
