I. MEETING DETAILS
The Civic Beautification Board members met on Monday, June 8', 2026, at
12:OOpmCDT/l:OOEDT. The meeting was held at City Hall, 300 S. 5'S% Paducah, KY
42003.
IL ATTENDEES
In attendance were Denny Roof (Treasurer), Mary Dessert (Secretary), Kay Cochran
(Cor. Secretary), Misty Freeman,Mark Anderson, Wayne Armbruster, Ashley
Gentry, Paul Grumley, Michele Murphy, Karen Petter, Tim Story, Storm Wilson, and
Pam Spencer (City Rep). Those who were not attendance were Jill Durham, JJ
Coad, Staci Drake, Kathy Montgomery, and Fowler Black.
III. CALL TO ORDER
Mary called the meeting to order at 12:O1pm CDT/1:OOEDT at City Hall with the
pledge of allegiance and reminded members to silence their phones.
Treasurer:
The ending bank balance on 6/01/2026 is $396.45. The financial report was included in
the packet. Denny said if anyone needs to be reimbursed it will go on the
next fiscal year.
Minutes:
The minutes were approved by all members.
Corresponding Secretary:
No report. A thank you note was passed around to all members from F.A.C.E. Makeup
Artistry.
TV. OLD BUSINESS
Membership:
Karen handed out the membership list. Members mentioned a couple corrections that
needed to be made. Staci and Karen met with Parker Jaco. Karen read his and Macia's
applications out loud. There was a vote amongst members to approve both to the
board.
House of the Month:
Kay presented the house of the month for June. The house is located at 1611 Madison
St., and the owners are Tonle and Warren Hatton. A photo of the house was passed
around. There were a couple recommendations from members for the next House of
the Month.
Memorial Garden:
No report.
Social Media/Citizen Spotlight:
Misty said our Civic Beautification Board Facebook page had 15,300 views and 23
new followers. Our Dogwood Trail Facebook page has 24 new followers. We Yt�
purchased new Dogwood Trail signs to replace old, faded ones for next year!
Paducah Alliance of Neighborhoods (PAN):
Tim said he is actively looking for dogwoods and is not having much luck. He will
recommend waiting until fall to plant.
Paducah Corridors:
Wayne told everyone to make sure you are checking your assigned corridors. He will
resend the email with everyone's assignments.
Whitehaven Playground:
Mark has sent a couple messages to Kyle Poat and is waiting on a response. Pam
recommended that he contact Darren Jordan who is the city manager. Mark said he has
also contacted the Lyons Club for advice. The playground equipment will be funded by
fundraisers and donations.
Interstate Painting ITEM; Plantinei
Karen met with the department of transportation, and they informed her that one lane
of traffic will need to be closed for about a week. There was discussion on the overpass
at Exit 11 and the overpass by Mellow Mushroom. Mark said he will send examples
that he has seen in Louisville. There was discussion on ownership of the overpass by
Mellow Mushroom.
Karen said the trees will have to be a certain height and will have to be approved She
will do more research on this.

V1. ADJOURNMENT
Move to adjourn was made by Mary at 1:OOpm CDT/2:00 EDT. Next meeting will
be July IT, 2026, at City Hall.
