Board Members Present: Commissioners Latoya Burton, Jana Dawson (Chair),
Charles Gurley, Irhonda Lovelace, Rachel Robinson, Anthony Walton, and Kimberly
Yates

Meeting called to order by Chair Commissioner Dawson at 4:46 p.m.

April 6, Meeting Minutes reviewed with Board decision to table the April 2026
Meeting Minutes (the Fair Housing Event section) for further discussion at the
June 2026 PHRC Meeting when Mayor Bray will be in attendance. (April 2026
Meeting Minutes attached for review.)
Paducah Pride Event (Commissioner Lovelace) — Paducah Pride Event is June 6,
2026, at Paducah Convention Center. Commissioner(s) Lovelace, Gurley, and
Robinson expressed interest in volunteering at the PHRC table during this event.
Lunch & Learn — Board Members voted on Saturday, July 25, 2026, as the date for
the next Lunch & Learn Outreach event. The event will be held at the Christ Temple
Annex from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Commissioner Walton agreed to be
responsible for the food arrangements through Big Ed's.
Red, White and Blues Block Party — Commissioners discussed setting up a table at
this event (hosted by Bryant Law Center on May 30, 2026, from 12:00 —10:00
HR
p.m.) for community outreach. Entry Form will be submitted to Bryant Law
Commissioners
Center this week.

Juneteenth Event - Chair (Commissioner Dawson) — 5/14/26 Chair Commissioner
Dawson stated that she spoke to George Wilson about the Juneteenth Event.
Commissioner Yates stated that she would follow up tomorrow (May 15, 2026) to
get pricing from Action Sports for the items she previously inquired about. She
stated that she would provide pricing to Board so they can vote on which items to
order for this event. (4/2/26 Chair Commissioner Dawson reached out George
Wilson to setup a meeting to discuss. PHRC Commission agreed that we would be
willing to support by providing water at the event. Commissioner Yates agreed to
reach out to Action Sports to get a quote for cooling rags with PHRC logo on them
to use for marketing purposes. Standing by for response.)
Budget Report — The PHRC has a budget of $7,297.37 until June 30, 2026.
5/14/26 PHRC previously voted to use the photo taken at the March Lunch and
Learn event for their new informational pamphlet. Commissioner Burton has
agreed to be responsible for providing the layout for the new pamphlet.
5/14/26 No update provided on the Board's request for digital inventory
(4/2/26 No update on the digital inventory request- Commissioner Burton
suggested that there be a digital inventory of PHRC education material/items so
that the Board can keep track of what they have available. The Board discussed
their own storage/access to these materials.)
Daisha Johnson, Human Relations Coordinator, reported the monthly
complaint(s).
Meeting was adjourned at 5:43 p.m. with Motion to approve by Chair
Commissioner Dawson, a second approval by Commissioner Yates and
unanimously approved.
