CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING
CALLED MEETING
MINUTES
JANUARY 28, 2026
The Code Enforcement Board Meeting was held on Wednesday, January 28th at 4:00 p.m. on the
2nd floor of City Hall. In attendance were Brian Pickering and his guest, Merle Paschedag,
Deborah Lyons, Michael Terra, Tara Sawvel, Jennifer Swanson, Matt Turley, Danny Brown,
Kristen Krueger, Greg Cherry, April Pittman, Matt Willett, Chris Lykins and Janet Dicke.
Absent: John Spurlin
The meeting was called to Order by Matt Turley and seconded by Jennifer Swanson. Motion
carried.
Greg Cherry introduced our newest Board Member Danny Brown.
The minutes for November 17, 2025 were read and approved. Motion made by Tara Sawyel and
seconded by Danny Brown. Motion carried.
Old Business:
1. 1510 N 10th Street – Brian Pickering
Brian Pickering appeared to speak.
With the evidence submitted in this case the $550.00 Failure to Comply fine is upheld by the
Code Enforcement Board. Motion made by Danny Brown and seconded by Matt Turley,
motion carried.
New Business:
1. 315 N 9th St – Merel Paschedag
Merle Paschedag appeared to speak.
The Code Enforcement Board decided with the documents received as evidence, a discussion
there is no violation. Motion made by Matt Turley, seconded by Jennifer Swanson, motion
carried.
Tara Sawvel made a motion to go into Executive Session, Danny Brown seconded the motion,
motion carried.
The Board came out of Executive Session resumed the Board Meeting at 5:05pm.
Danny Brown made the motion to reconvene the meeting and Tara Sawvel seconded. Motion
carried.
