Minutes Monthly Board Meeting Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 8:00am Present Board Members- David Troutman, Cindy Mangrum, John Durbin, Maggie Moore, Simone Fearon, Herb Gregory, Jackie Caruthers, Robert Hernandez, Lydia May. Staff Present- Sarah Walker, Executive Director, Robin Ross, Assistant Director. Absent Board Members- Dan Frazier, Carol Young, Karami Underwood. Call to Order: David Troutman called the meeting to order at 8:05 am. Minutes from Last Month: The October minutes were not ready for approval. They will be reviewed and approved at the December meeting. Committee Reports: Finance Committee: John Durbin presented a financial report to the board. Nominating Committee: By next June we will have two board member vacancies. There will also be two executive board vacancies. Personnel Committee: Sarah had to terminate an employee, Ms. Arnold, last month. Ms. Arnold reached out to the board to review her termination. After discussion and review of her file the board decided that her termination was valid and warranted. Robert spoke to the thorough job the Executive Board and Personnel Committee did in handling this matter. Bylaws and Policies Committee: No report this month. Director’s Report: See attachment presented by Sarah Walker. Assistant Director’s Report: No report this month. Old Business Building Update: John and David met with the city to discuss the building plans for the Senior Center. PFGW is still not ready to present building plans to the city. Fundraising/ Grants: See Sarah’s director’s report for an update on these efforts. Sarah was able to close a large gift this past month. Thank you, Sarah! New Business Employee Christmas Bonuses- Cindy and Sarah decided to do whatever we did last year. Thank you, Sarah! The Board meeting date has been rescheduled due to the Christmas holidays. It will be December 17th at 8:00am. Comments and Announcements Robert led the board in prayer. Adjournment Cidny Mangrumm made a motion to adjourn at 9:01 am, Simone Fearon second. The motion passed. The next board meeting date is December 17, 2024 at 8:00am.
