A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN APPLICATION
FOR A KENTUCKY FIRE COMMISSION PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,000, ACCEPTING ANY GRANT FUNDS AWARDED BY
THE KENTUCKY FIRE COMMISSION, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO SAME
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an application to obtain
a Kentucky Fire Commission Personal Protective Equipment Grant application in the amount of
$7,000. The funding will be used to purchase two sets of structural coats and pants. The total
cost of the equipment is $9,000. The Fire Department will provide an additional $2,000 in
additional funding for the purchase.
SECTION 2. That the City of Paducah hereby authorizes the acceptance of any
and all grant funds awarded by the Kentucky Fire Commission and authorizes the Mayor to
execute the Grant Agreement and all related documents.
SECTION 3. The purchase will be made from Fire Hoses/Rescue Equipment,
Account No. 1000 1802 540130.
SECTION 4. This order will be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
