Greg Cherry, Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal gcherry@paducahky.gov/270-444-8522 CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING MINUTES DECEMBER 12, 2022 The Code Enforcement Board Meeting was held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in City Hall. In attendance were Ines Hutchins, Melinda Winchester, Beverly McKinley, Allan Rhodes, Richard McLaren, Rev. Michael Bady, Tommy Wilson, Kristen Worak, Luke Wilkins, Steve Utz, Matt Willett, Greg Cherry and Janet Dicke. Absent: Tim Meadows, George Goodman and Troy Holt Jr. The meeting was called to Order by Allan Rhodes. 2nd by Ines Hutchins. The previous meeting minutes were read and unanimously approved by the Board. Properties Discussed: 1. 621 Campbell St. – George Goodman Postponed till February 2023. 2. 1647 Jefferson St. – Richard McLaren Mr. McLaren will purchase building material and continue siding repairs when he gets back from his travels around January 12th. January 23rd (tentatively) the Board will meet Mr. McLaren at 1647 Jefferson Street to tour the house and to discuss structural issues. January 30th he will obtain the required building permits or sell the house. 3. 2003 Jefferson St. – Tommy Wilson – Contractor Significant progress has been made. Gave an extension till March 30th to complete the punch list. The Board approved waiving some fines and all of the interest. The Keeney’s will have to pay attorney fees and filing and release fees for releasing liens. 4. 1173 N 11th St. – Rev. Michael Bady – Tenant Rev. Michael Bady has until January 30th to remove the debris (discarded vehicle parts, washer, dryer, tires, pallets, etc.) in the yard. After January 30th and reinspection will be done. 5. 901 N 32nd St. – David Kidd Mr. Kidd will trim back the bushes in the next couple of weeks that are in the right of way and sight triangle. The vines will be removed in the fence row and the fence will be fixed and painted by March 30th. If the Mr. Kidd is in compliance the fine of $130.00 will be waived. Page 2 6. 1006 Tennessee St. – Troy Holt Jr. Mr. Holt submitted a letter requesting a hearing but he did not attend the meeting. Before the Board made their decision, a Board Member step out in the hallway and into the atrium to see if Mr. Holt was here just running late. Did not see him. The Board approved to proceed with the demolition of the structure.
