ORDINANCE NO. 98-8-S-10?
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MURTCO, INC. FOR THE
ISLAND CREEK STORMWATER PUMP INSTALLATION PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT
OF $115,860.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Murtco, Inc. for the Island
Creek Stormwater Pump Installation project in the amount of $115,860.00, said bid being in
substantial compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bids, and as contained in the
bid of Murtco, Inc. dated August 4, 1998.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Murtco,
Inc., for the Island Creek Stormwater Pump Installation, bid proposal and all contract documents
heretofore approved.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to account no. 040-3305-532-
2307 (DR0002).
SECTION 4. Due to the urgency to get this installation completed as soon as
possible because of the unpredictable Ohio River stages during the fourth quarter of the calendar
year, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective
immediately with one reading.
