A MUNICIPAL ORDER ADOPTING CONTRACT MODIFICATION NO. 2 TO
THE CONTRACT WITH SPRINTURF, LLC, FOR THE PADUCAH SPORTS
PARK PROJECT TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT BY 73 DAYS, AND TO
APPROVE A DEDUCTION IN THE CONTRACT PRICE OF $129,992.49, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT
MODIFICATION AND ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS RELATED TO SAME
WHEREAS, on June 25, 2024, the Board of Commissioners approved a contract
with Sprinturf, LLC, for the Paducah Sports Park, in partnership with the Fiscal Court, and the
McCracken County Sports Tourism Commission, with a contracted completion date of
December 15, 2025; and
WHEREAS, on January 28, 2025, the Board of Commissioners approved
Municipal Order 93008, approving Contract Modification No. 1 to the Agreement with
Sprinturf, LLC, in the amount of $772,492, bringing the total contract price to $7,093.579; and
WHEREAS, On July 31, 2025, a formal request was issued to the Sports Tourism
Commission for a contract extension. This Change Order adds 73 days to the contract due to
weather and time delays and associated cement stabilization. This Change Order would require
turnover of the park to operations on March 1, 2026.; and
WHEREAS, additionally, the Sports Tourism Commission requests approval for a
contract price reduction in the amount of $129,992.49 for agreed upon adjustments attributable
to executed Construction Change Directives. This will bring the new contract sum to
$6,963,586.51.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby approves Contract Modification
No. 2 to the Agreement with Sprinturf, LLC for the Paducah Sports Park Project to extend the
contract by 73 days due to weather and time delays associated with cement stabilization and
provides for a contract price reduction in the amount of $129,992.49. The new contract
completion date will be recorded as March 1, 2026. The new contract sum shall be
$6,963,586.51.
SECTION 2. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its adoption. 4 P
