AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF NATIONAL UTILITY
PRODUCTS COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ADJUSTABLE MANHOLE RINGS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,880, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of National Utility Products
Company in the amount of $14,880, for the purchase of adjustable manhole rings to be used for
street paving program, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and
advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of National Utility Products Company of July
27, 1998.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with National
Utility Products Company for sale to the City of adjustable manhole rings authorized in Section 1
above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 003-2217-531-
4227.
_ SECTION 4. In order to complete the 1998 Resurfacing Project this construction
season and receive materials and begin work immediately, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
