PARKS AND RECREATION GRANT THROUGH THE UNITED STATES TENNIS
ASSOCIATION (USTA) IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,000 TO PROVIDE AN ADAPTIVE
TENNIS PROGRAM FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS IN PADUCAH AND SURROUNDING
AREAS IN THE SPRING AND FALL OF 2026, ACCEPTING ALL AWARDED GRANT
FUNDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS
RELATED TO SAME
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an application for a
grant through the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Southern Parks and Recreation
Department. This grant is in the amount of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000), and will be used to
provide an Adaptive Tennis program for youth and adults in Paducah and surrounding areas in
the spring and fall of 2026. Funding will be used for marketing, supplies and staff time.
SECTION 2. That the City of Paducah hereby accepts all grant funds awarded
through the United States Tennis Association (USTA). No local match is required.
SECTION 3. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its adoption.
