MINUTES – July 10th 2025
Board Members Present: Chair Robert Hernandez, Commissioners Jana Dawson,
Charles Gurley Irhonda Lovelace,Anthony Walton, Kimberly Yates

Meeting called to order by Chair Robert Hernandez at 5:00 PM.
Roll Call by: Specialist Daisha Johnson at 5:02 P.M.
Quorum established – Established at 5:03 P.M.

Pledge of Allegiance: Commissioner Robert Hernandez
June 12th, 2025, meeting minutes motion for approval by Commissioner Jana
Dawson seconded by Commissioner Irhonda Lovelace and unanimously approved.
Paducah Diversity Advocacy Board founders Dorothea Manley and Donald Overstreet
attended the meeting. They gave organization updates regarding food insecurities in
Paducah and invited PHRC members to their upcoming micro farming class and Q3
nonprofit collaborative event. PDAB
Paducah Human Rights Commission members have reviewed their schedules and
agreed to meet for a strategic planning session on August 6th at 11:30am. The
meeting will take place at City Hall in the team room.
Paducah Human Rights Commission Chairman announced that members Kimberly
Yates and Irhonda Lovelace had been reappointed.
The budget from last physical year was distributed and discussed. Members also
discussed who would assume the responsibilities of treasurer and secretary moving
forward.
Members voted to pay $25 for the Emancipation Celebration parade. Commissioner
Yates agreed to coordinate the usage of a truck as well as magnetic signage to be
used on truck during the parade.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:17 pm
