A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING CONTRACT
AMENDMENT NO. 1 BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND TETRA
TECH IN THE AMOUNT OF $36,300 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO
SAME
WHEREAS, on May 24, 2022, the Board of Commissioners approved the acceptance of a
$500,000 Brownfields Assessment Grant by Municipal Order 2578; and
WHEREAS, the Cooperative Agreement with the EPA was signed in August 2022; and
WHEREAS, a Request for Qualifications for an environmental consulting firm was
released on October 2022, and three proposals were submitted; and
WHEREAS, on February 20, 2023, by Municipal Order 2699, the City entered into a
Contract with TetraTech in the amount of $440,000 to carry out the environmental components
of this project; and
WHEREAS, as we approach the end of the third year, the original contracted funds with
TetraTech have been expended; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah now desires to enter into Amendment No. 1 of the
agreement with Tetra Tech in the amount of $36,300 to be used for additional Phase 1
Assessments, two additional ABCAs and community engagement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTIONI. The City hereby authorizes and approves a Contract Amendment
No. 1 between the City of Paducah and Tetra Tech in the amount of $36,300 to be used for
additional Phase 1 Assessments, two additional ABCAs and community engagement, and
authorizes the Mayor to execute the Agreement and all documents related to same.
SECTION 2. The expenditure shall be charged to Project Account No. MR0091
Brownfields Grant.
SECTION 3. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption. 4
