Roll Call by: Specialist Daisha Johnson at 5:02 P.M. Quorum established – Established at 5:03 P.M. Invocation: Commissioner Jana Dawson Pledge of Allegiance: Commissioner Robert Hernandez March 13, 2024, meeting minutes motion for approval by Commissioner Christa Dubrock seconded by Commissioner Jana Dawson and unanimously approved. City Manager Daron Jordan gave a presentation to PHRC regarding community outreach involvement and vendor participation restrictions. Budget procedures and restrictions were outlined. Hosting a regional event to educate Human Rights commissions in surrounding areas was discussed. Community member presented board with letter written describing an incident of discrimination. PHRC advised community member to file human rights complaint with Specialist Johnson. Commissioner Kimberly Yates discussed contacting the schools to collaborate with students. PHRC outlined the benefits of involving youth in future events and outreach efforts. Updates on the outreach video were given. Chairman Hernandez and Specialist Johnson agreed to collaborate on date and time to complete video. PHRC members reviewed the current budget. Participation in various community events ad availability of board members was discussed. The meeting adjourned at 5:23 pm, the motion was made by Commissioner Irhonda Lovelace, and seconded by Commissioner Kimberly Yates, and unanimously approved.
