MINUTES – March 13th, 2025
Board Members Present: Chair Robert Hernandez, Commissioners Jana Dawson,
Christa Dubrock, Charles Gurley, Anthony Walton,
Board Member Not Present: Commissioners Irhonda Lovelace & Kimberly Yates
Meeting called to order by Chair Robert Hernandez at 5:00 PM.
Roll Call by: Specialist Daisha Johnson at 5:02 P.M.
Quorum established – Established at 5:03 P.M.
Invocation: Commissioner Jana Dawson
Pledge of Allegiance: Commissioner Robert Hernandez
February 13, 2024, meeting minutes motion for approval by Commissioner Christa
Dubrock seconded by Commissioner Anthony Walton and unanimously approved.
PHRC members discussed the details and theme of this year's Fair Housing Luncheon.
Marketing materials and decor will be ordered for the event. Commissioner Gurley
will clarify with food vendor menu details and order décor. Potential speakers from
various organizations will be contacted to participate in the program. Specialist
Johnson will discuss flyer creation and press release details with the communications
manager.
PHRC members discussed participation in Paducah Pride United Together event.
Vendor fees will be paid to set up table at Pride event which will take place June 14th
2025 at Paducah McCracken Co. Convention & Expo Center.
NAACP Rosa Parks Power of One Event participation was discussed. PHRC members
agreed to partner with the school to bring youth to the event. Commissioner
Kimberly Yates agreed to take the lead on this collaboration effort.
Updates on the outreach video were given. Discussion of the script and who will
appear in the video was decided.
PHRC members reviewed the current budget, and upcoming community outreach
opportunities were discussed.
