MINUTES – May 8th, 2025
Board Members Present: Chair Robert Hernandez, Commissioners Jana Dawson,
Christa Dubrock, Charles Gurley Irhonda Lovelace,Anthony Walton

Meeting called to order by Chair Robert Hernandez at 5:00 PM.
Roll Call by: Specialist Daisha Johnson at 5:02 P.M.
Quorum established – Established at 5:03 P.M.
Invocation: Commissioner Charles Gurley
Pledge of Allegiance: Commissioner Robert Hernandez
April 10th, 2024, meeting minutes motion for approval by Commissioner Anthony
Walton seconded by Commissioner Irhonda Lovelace and unanimously approved.
The Paducah Human Rights Commission discussed feedback from the Fair Housing
Luncheon. Concerns were raised about improving procedures for distributing tickets
to future events. Specialist Johnson agreed to communicate with Parks Department
staff to ensure the date is scheduled for next year’s Fair Housing Luncheon.
Paducah Human Rights Commission members discussed continuing community
partnerships with local organizations. Chairman Hernandez encouraged
commissioners to become more engaged with the community and to invite
individuals to attend meetings and present relevant information.
Paducah Human Rights Commission members discussed participating in the Paducah
Pride United Together 2025 Pride Festival as well as Community Growth
Foundation’s Sundaze in the Park events. Commissioners reviewed their availability
and made attendance commitments.
Commissioners discussed purchasing additional marketing materials for use at future
community events
PHRC members reviewed the current budget.
