At a Special Called Meeting of the Paducah Board of Commissioners held on Saturday, February
22, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. at the Respite Bed & Breakfast located at 502 North 5th Street, Paducah,
Kentucky, Mayor George Bray presided. Upon call of the roll by City Clerk, Lindsay Parish, the
following answered to their names: Commissioners Henderson, Smith, Thomas, Wilson, and
Mayor Bray (5).
COMMISSION PRIORITIES WORKSHOP
In a discussion facilitated by Tad Long with the Kentucky League of Cities, the City
Commission discussed their priorities for 2025-2026. They narrowed down their top priorities to
the following:
• City Facilities
• Revenue Equity
• Review Staffing Needs to Fulfill City Commission Priorities
• Support Community Efforts to Address Homelessness
• Housing
• Rental Occupancy Permitting/Landlord Accountability
• Downtown Economic Development
• Growth
• Quality of Life
• Southside Revitalization
The City Commission discussed wanting to work toward continuous improvement in the
following areas:
• Stormwater
• Trails & Bike Lanes
• Mental Health Awareness
ADJOURN
Commissioner Smith offered Motion, seconded by Commissioner Thomas, that the
meeting be adjourned.
