ORDINANCE NO. 98-3-5835
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PADUCAH FORD INC. FOR
THE PURCHASE OF SEVEN 1998 FORD TAURUS AUTOMOBILES IN THE
AMOUNT OF $14,556 EACH, FOR A TOTAL OF $101,892, FOR USE BY THE
INSPECTION AND POLICE DEPARTMENTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Paducah Ford Inc.
for the purchase of seven 1998 Ford Taurus automobiles in the amount of $14,556
each, for a total of $101,892, from Paducah Ford Inc., for use by the Finance and
Police Departments, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid
specifications, advertisement for bid, and as contained in the bid of Paducah Ford Inc.
of February 20, 1998.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Paducah Ford Inc. for the purchase of seven automobiles, authorized in Section 1
above, according to the specifications, bid proposal, and all contract documents
heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account
No. 070-2215-541-4005.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
