There have been complaints about tree removal in the park and along the Greenway Trail.
Board is unable to control projects like this. The community has been fairly vocal about
this however.
Department Updates?
Planning Department (Palmer Stroup): Planning department has been fielding
calls regarding tree removals on Fountain Ave., J. Perkins has been texted about the same
but informed the neighborhood that TAB has no authority or enforcement capabilities.
Planning department is still working with city commissioners to establish some
community gardens on vacant lots, etc. J. Perkins advised against public fruit trees due to
the lack of maintenance input required. Idea to use vacant lots was liked though.
