A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH FLOCK SAFETY IN THE AMOUNT OF $64,250 FOR THE PURCHASE OF
FIFTEEN (15) LICENSE PLATE READERS (LPR) SYSTEMS TO BE USED BY THE
PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, a pilot program was started in 2022 with two (2) LPR systems,
and in 2023, the program was expanded to six (6) systems. The LPR systems have proven
effective and the Police Department is now requesting that the program be expanded to
include fifteen (15) additional systems; and
WHEREAS, this is a noncompetitive negotiation purchase pursuant to KRS
45A.380(2), and Sec. 2-659(2) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Commission hereby approves an Agreement with Flock
Safety, in an amount of $64,250 for the purchase of fifteen (15) License Plate Reader
Systems for the Paducah Police Department.
SECTION 2. This expenditure will be paid from Computer Software
Maintenance Account No. 1000 1601 522020
SECTION 3. This Order shall be in frill force effect from and after the
date of its adoption. D z
