AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF AN UNNAMED
RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED BETWEEN BLEICH ROAD AND RIDGEWOOD STREET
BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of an
unnamed right -of --way located between Bleich Road and Ridgewood Street, and more particularly
described as follows:
A 50' wide unnamed unimproved dedicated right-of-way lying between Bleich
Road (Ky. Hwy. 3074) and Ridgewood Street in the City of Paducah,
McCracken County, Kentucky, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an existing iron rod w/cap found in the northerly right-of-way
margin of Bleich Road (Ky. Hwy. 3074) at the southwest intersection of said
Bleich Road and herein described unnamed unimproved dedicated right-of-way
said beginning point being located north 87146'00" east, 255.3 5 feet from an
existing iron rod w/cap located in the northerly right-of-way margin of Bleich
Road (Ky. Hwy. 3074) at the southeast corner of the Hicks property; thence
leaving the northerly right-of-way margin of Bleich Road with a curve to the
left having a central angle of 89°52'08", a radius of 20.00 feet, an arc length of
31.37 feet, a tangent of 19.95 feet and a chord bearing and distance of north
42'49'5T' east, 28.25 feet to a point; thence with the westerly right-of-way
margin of said unnamed, unimproved public right-of-way north 02106'08"
west, 525.57 feet to an existing iron rod w/cap (found); thence with a curve to
the left having a central angle of 90100'00", a radius of 20.00 feet, an arc
length of 31.42 feet, a tangent of 20.00 feet and a chord bearing and distance of
north 47°06'08" west, 28.28 feet to an existing iron rod w/cap (found) at the
`1 northwesterly intersection of said unnamed, unimproved public right-of-way
and the southerly right-of-way margin of Ridgewood Street; thence with the
southerly right-of-way margin of Ridgewood Street north 87°53'52" east,
90.00 feet to an existingyiron rod w/cap (found) at the northeasterly intersection
` -of said unna ed;-t1rumproved public right-of-way and the southerly right-of-
way margin of Ridgewood Street (50' R/W); thence leaving the southerly
right-of-way margin of Ridgewood Street and a curve to the left having a
central angle of 90°00'00", a radius of 20.00 feet, an arc length of 31.42 feet, a
tangent of 20.00 feet and a chord bearing and distance of south 42°53'52"
west, 28.28 feet to an existing iron rod w/cap (found); thence with the easterly
right-of-way margin of said unnamed, unimproved public right-of-way margin
south 02°06'08" east, 525.37 feet to an existing iron rod w/cap (found); thence
with a curve to the left having a central angle of 90° 07'52", a radius of 20.00
feet, an arc length of 31.46 feet, tangent of 20.05 feet and a chord bearing and
distance of south 47'10'04" east, 28.32 feet to an existing iron rod w/cap
(found) at the southeasterly intersection of said unnamed, unimproved, public
right-of-way and the northerly right-of-way margin of Bleich Road (Ky. Hwy.
3074); thence with said northerly right of way margin of Bleich Road south
87°46'00" west, 90.00 feet to the point of beginning, containing 0.6570 acres
or 28,616.8 square feet.
Subject property being the same unnamed, unimproved dedicated right-of-way as
shown on waiver of subdivision Anna Webb Petter property of record in Plat Section K, Page 47,
McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
Subject property being the same unnamed, unimproved, dedicated right-of-way as
shown on street closure application plat as determined by SCI Surveyors, Inc. PLS #3117 dated March
27, 1998.

This property is subject to a 15 foot wide water line easement as shown on street
closure application plat as determined by SCI Surveyors, Inc. PLS #3117 dated March 27, 1998.
SECTION 2. In support of its decision to close the aforesaid public way, the Board of
Commissioners hereby makes the following findings of fact:
a. David Cassidy is the owner of property abutting the public way which the
Board of Commissioners has authorized to be closed as is evidenced by the application for street and/or
alley closing which is attached hereto and made part hereof.
b. On the 6th day of April, 1998, the Paducah Planning Commission of the City
of Paducah adopted a resolution recommending to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City
of Paducah closure of the aforesaid public way.
C. Written notice of the proposed closing was given to all property owners in or
abutting the public way or the portion thereof being closed as is evidenced by the application for street
and/or alley closing which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
d. All property owners in or abutting the public way or the portion thereof being
closed have given their written notarized consent to the closing as is evidenced by the application for
street and/or alley closing which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION 3. All requirements of KRS 82.405(1) and (2) having been met, the Board
of Commissioners of the City of Paducah hereby concludes that the aforesaid public way, as described
above, should be closed in accordance with the provisions of KRS 82.405.
SECTION 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to execute a
quitclaim deed from the City of Paducah to each of the property owners in or abutting the public way to
be closed with each to acquire title to that portion of the public way contiguous to the property now
owned by said property owners up to centerline of the said public way. Provided, however, that the
City shall reserve such easements upon the above described real property as it deems necessary. Said
deed shall provide the reservation by the City of Paducah any easements affecting the herein described
real property as described in Section 1 above.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and become effective
upon publication of title and certified summary thereof.
