Stadium, presided by Board President Frank Hideg. Board members present were

Jay Smith, Sam Goode and Susie Davidson, ex officio member (for Amie Clark of
the Parks Department).
Special guest City of Paducah Mayor George Bray was welcomed by the
Commission.
Stadium cat "Diamond" was introduced by President Hideg, who reported that
Diamond has been in residence about a year and has controlled the mice and
rodent population at the stadium.
Tyler Parker gave an invocation.
Jay Smith led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Secretary Bill Pinkston read the minutes of the Commission Meeting of 9-2-21,,
which were approved upon motion made, seconded, and carried by vote.
A financial report was passed to the next meeting as treasurer Chip Cox was not
present. However, President Hideg reported that the Stadium's bills had all been
paid no monies were owed to anyone or any entity at the present time.
New Board member Tyler Parker was introduced. Tyler is taking the place of
retired member Neel Carroll.
President Hideg gave a report on Field and Stadium maintenance:
r All spring maintenance is done; the Stadium is open and in great shape.
r The grass looks better than ever.
o Thanks is given to Roy Dunning and his dad for their help.
o Three aging water heaters were replaced.
o PTHS started its season on time and has cancelled no games.
President Hideg reported that he and Greg McKeel attended a McCracken Fiscal
Court meeting on 3-28-22 to accept a check for 57,500.
President Hideg met with Paducah School Superindent Donald Shively and the
athletic director:
o Schools agreed to pay the Commission a lump sum of 57,000, up from
$6,000 last year.
o Schools will do some welding at no cost.
r PTHS players and coaches continue to be helpfulwith field and stadium
maintenance.
o PTHS parents continue to do a good job running and maintaining the

with its Park Signs. However, those signs do not recognize the Stadium as being
the home of the Chiefs or PTHS, so thought is given to adding a third sign.
Corporate and business entity signs in the outfield were discussed, with the
elevated signs on either side of "Welcome to our Home" as being available to the
best patrons of the Stadium.
Greg McKeel provided an update on the Chiefs, to include discussion of:

o The stadium's electrics are "amped out" and will need a new line run. Sam

A committee was created to analyze this issue.
o Padding for the outfield walls needs to be considered as a safety measure
for outfielders.

We had problems with all three hot water heaters so due to their age we had to
replace them.
Tilghman started the season on time and even with all the rain, they have not
missed any home games.

p- We need to consider padding the outfield wall. This is a recommended safety
measure for college play but it's expensive. I believe that adding a second level
of outfield signs or applying for a historical grant could help fund this and other
p roj ects.

. Party Deck Maintenance and Construction Committee: I would like to form a committee
to oversee the completion of the Diamond Deck, formulate a plan for a second deck on the
first base side, and handle any new major improvement projects. The committee would
develop a budget for the full commission to approve and then would oversee the projects
moving forward.
I would like board approval to increase the hourly wage for the bus driver.
