He has worked with Jamie Futrell of the radio station to provide this for the Chiefs. There being no further business, on motion made and seconded, the commission was adjourned. Discussion was commenced amount the need to have the public address announcer at the Chiefs game do a better job of announcing who the corporate sponsors are. Also, to do a better job of announcing the player at bat, so as to provide the fans with the name of the player, the college he attends, and where he goes to college. The commission discussed the "player's fee" of $600.00 that the ohio valley League requires that each player provide to his team. The Chiefs present practice is to have the players invest "sweat equity" to come up with their $600.00 fee. They do this by doing maintenance and clean- up work to the stadium before and after ball games. The issue arose when one or two of the other teams in the ohio valley League thought that the chiefs had an unfair advantage by not requiring the $600.00 fee paid to them in cash. Since the bylaws ofthe ohio valley League do not specifically state that the payment must be in cash, and does not post scribe the use oia "sweat equity" program such as now used by the chiefs, the commission elected to stand pat and to take no action at the present time, until and unless the ohio valley League amends its bylaws to be more specific on whether or not the "sweat equity" program would be permitted to continue.
