AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE NEED FOR ACQUIRING A
PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE HEIRS OF CHRIS
ACRES, NOW DECEASED, TO BE USED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY TO CONSTRUCT AN EXPANSION OF THE COMPOST
FACILITY AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND AUTHORIZING
THE CONDEMNATION OF SAME. - N . g *t,

WHEREAS, a parcel of real property owned by the heirs of Chris
Acree, now deceased, is necessary for the construction of an
expansion of the compost facility and wastewater treatment plant by
the City of Paducah, Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, the following described real property is needed by
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, in furtherance of the public purpose
of the City of Paducah to provide a compost facility and wastewater
treatment plant expansion; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, has been unable to
contract or agree with the owner thereof for the acquisition or
purchase of the real property sought to be condemned; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, do hereby authorize the condemnation of the herein -
described real property pursuant to the Kentucky Revised Statutes;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City of Paducah,
Kentucky:
SECTION 1. That the Assistant Corporate Counsel of the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, be and is hereby ordered and directed to
institute condemnation proceedings in the McCracken Circuit Court
in the name of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, against the heirs of
Chris Acree, now deceased, and all other parties at interest to
acquire the subject property owned by the aforesaid individuals.
SECTION 2. That the property to be acquired is in McCracken
County, Kentucky, and is more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING AT A POINT, A MARKER IN THE NORTH LINE OF NORTH
8TH STREET; 381.47 FEET WEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF
TERRELL STREET WITH NORTH 8TH STREET; THENCE IN A
NORTHERLY DIRECTION AND WITH THE WEST LINE OF THE LOT OR
PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE OWNED BY ROY HANKINS AND WIFE, CORA
HANKINS, 141.48 FEET TO A STAKE; THENCE AT RIGHT ANGLES
AND IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION 47 FEET TO A STAKE; THENCE AT
RIGHT ANGLES AND IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION TO A POINT IN
THE NORTH LINE OF NORTH 8TH STREET; THENCE IN AN EASTERLY
DIRECTION AND WITH THE NORTH LINE OF NORTH 8TH STREET TO
THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be read on two (2) separate
days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to
KRS Chapter 424.

0 Scott, now deceased, is necessary for the construction of an
expansion of the compost facility and wastewater treatment plant by
the City of Paducah, Kentucky; and

RUNNING THENCE IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION PARALLEL TO SAID
LINE OF TERRELL STREET A DISTANCE OF 123 FEET TO A POINT;
RUNNING THENCE IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION PARALLEL WITH SAID
LINE OF SEVENTH STREET 48 FEET TO A POINT; RUNNING THENCE
