MINUTES – January 18, 2024
Board Members Present: Chair Robert Hernandez, Commissioners Jana Dawson,
Christa Dubrock, Irhonda Lovelace, Dann Patterson, Anthony Walton, and Kimberly
Yates.
Board Member Not Present: N/A
Meeting called to order by Chair Robert Hernandez at 4:47 PM.
Roll Call by: Stefanie Wilcox at 4:48 P.M.
Quorum established – Established at 4:49 P.M.

Pledge of Allegiance: Led by Commissioner Dann Patterson
December 21, 2023, meeting minutes motion for approval by Commissioner Jana
Dawson, Second by Commissioner Irhonda Lovelace, and unanimously approved.
The newly updated ordinance on the City’s Code of Ethics was distributed and
discussion occurred on what applies to the Human Rights Commission. It was
mentioned a training for al City Board Chairs will occur in March.
Chairperson Hernandez challenged the other Board Members to think of ways they
can network and get the word out regarding the Human Right Commission.
Members thought of contacts they had that they could reach out to as far as news
outlets and media sources.
There were four calls during the month of December, none resulted in complaints.
The meeting adjourned at 5:23 pm, the motion was made by Commissioner
Irhonda Lovelace, and seconded by Commissioner Kimberly Yates, and
unanimously approved.
