Board Member Not Present: Anthony Walton Meeting called to order by Chair Robert Hernandez at 4:49 P.M. Roll Call by: Stefanie Wilcox at 4:50 P.M. Quorum established – Established at 4:50 P.M. Additional Attendees: Mayor George Bray Invocation: Commissioner Jana Dawson Pledge of Allegiance: Led by Commissioner Dann Patterson November 16, 2023, meeting minutes motion for approval by Commissioner Jana Dawson, Second by Commissioner Kimberly Yates, and unanimously approved. Discussion occurred around Community training ideas and Chairperson Hernandez challenged the other Commissioners to think about their comfort level with public speaking and any civic organizations they might be interested in joining to promote the HRC. There was some discussion with the Mayor around the Media Policy and whether it applied to the Board. Stefanie will check on whether it is applicable. There was discussion about the City of Paducah becoming a refugee settlement city in the future. Very few details were known by the Mayor, but he will provide more information as it becomes available. Dann Patterson was congratulated for his recent Duke Award and the City was congratulated for their recent City of Ethics Award. The meeting adjourned at 5:32 pm, the motion was made by Commissioner Irhonda Lovelace, and seconded by Commissioner Christa Dubrock, and unanimously approved.
