Board Member Not Present: Kimberly Yates Meeting called to order by Chair Robert Hernandez at 4:45 P.M. Roll Call by: Stefanie Wilcox at 4:47 P.M. Quorum established – Established at 4:47 P.M. Additional Attendees: City Manager Daron Jordan Invocation: Chairperson Christa Dubrock Pledge of Allegiance: Led by Commissioner Dann Patterson October 19, 2023, meeting minutes motion for approval by Commissioner Dann Patterson, Second by Commissioner Jana Dawson, and unanimously approved. Human Rights Commission Training pamphlet was passed out and discussed. Future Community HRC Training – An idea was mentioned that we have a series of kickoff events beginning in January 2024. What macro systems can we go into to get the word out? Making sure Police, Fire, etc., know about the HRC services. Setting up meetings with partner agencies, creating a Facebook page, update the website, have information cards created to send out. Brainstorming items will occur in December, create the schedule in January, and rollout plan from there. The meeting adjourned at 5:10 pm, the motion was made by Commissioner Christa Dubrock, and seconded by Commissioner Irhonda Lovelace, and unanimously approved.
