MINUTES – October 19, 2023
Board Members Present: Chair Robert Hernandez, Commissioners Jana Dawson,
Christa Dubrock, Irhonda Lovelace, Dann Patterson, Anthony Walton, and Kimberly
Yates.
Board Member Not Present: All Present
Meeting called to order by Chair Robert Hernandez at 4:46 P.M.
Roll Call by: Stefanie Wilcox at 4:47 P.M.
Quorum established – Established at 4:47 P.M.

Invocation: Chairperson Robert Hernandez
Pledge of Allegiance: Led by Commissioner Dann Patterson
September 21, 2023, meeting minutes motion for approval by Commissioner Jana
Dawson, Second by Commissioner Irhonda Lovelace, and unanimously approved.
Acknowledgement – A tribute was paid to the late State Human Rights
Commissioner, Henry Blythe, in honor of the work he did for civil rights. Mr. Blythe
passed away September 17, 2023.
Complaint Overview – Chairman Hernandez went through the issues that have
been brought to the Human Rights Office since the last meeting and discussed the
process that was used for handling the various issues.
Meeting Location – There will be a meeting location change for the regular
November and December meetings. They will be held in the Ante Room off of the
Commission Chambers at City Hall, due to renovations to the Chambers. A special
called meeting notice will be sent regarding this change.
HRC Training – The final State provided Training related to Housing will be on
November 8, 2023.
The meeting adjourned at 5:07 pm, the motion was made by Commissioner Dann
Patterson, and seconded by Commissioner Irhonda Lovelace, and unanimously
approved.
