Board Member Not Present: All Present Meeting called to order by Chair Robert Hernandez at 5:00 P.M. Roll Call by: Stefanie Wilcox at 5:01 P.M. Quorum established – Established at 5:02 P.M. Additional Attendees: None Invocation: Commissioner Dann Patterson Pledge of Allegiance: Led by Commissioner Dann Patterson August 31, 2020, meeting minutes motion for approval by Commissioner Christa Dubrock, Second by Commissioner Jana Dawson, and unanimously approved. Human Rights Training Options – The Commission discussed the two different options for the State of Kentucky Human Rights Commission trainings. It was decided that spreading out the trainings over a couple of days would be better than all training in one day. We set the dates of October 11, 2023, October 18, 2023, and November 8, 2023, all at 11:30 am, at City Hall in the Training Room. We plan to request the trainer to come here for at least one date, and virtual for two. Hispanic Coalition – the upcoming 2023 Kentucky Hispanic, Immigrant and Refugee Networking Summit coming up on October 6, 2023 in Shelbyville. Any Commissioners interested in attending the training were to reach out to Stefanie Wilcox by October 4, 2023. Complaint Overview – Chairman Hernandez went through the issues that have been brought to the Human Rights Office since the last meeting and discussed the process that was used for handling the various issues. Regular Scheduled Meetings will be held the third Thursday of each month the time has been updated for them to begin at 4:45 pm, the motion was made by Commissioner Dann Patterson, and seconded by Commissioner Kimberly Yates, and unanimously approved. The meeting adjourned at 5:32 pm, the motion was made by Commissioner Dann Patterson, and seconded by Commissioner Irhonda Lovelace, and unanimously approved.
