ORDINANCE NO. 99-6-6066
ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY FINALIZING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID
(� PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, a tract of property adjacent to the present city limits, located
on the west side of Holt Road and northerly side of Gardenview Drive, is urban in
character and suitable for development for urban purposes without unreasonable delay;
and
WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of
the City, and it is desirable and necessary to annex the hereinafter described property; and
WHEREAS, said tract of land is not within the boundary of another
incorporated city; and
WHEREAS, the owners have requested such annexation in writing to the
Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to finalize
the annexation of the hereinafter described property, and therefore that the hereinafter
3 described property be annexed to, and made a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky; said
real property being more particularly and accurately described as follows:
Lying on the west side of Holt Road (relocated) and northerly side
of Gardenview Drive and being part of the Herbert Sheldon
Chapman property recorded in Deed Book 716, page 421,
McCracken County Court Clerk's office, McCracken County,
Kentucky and more particularly bounded and described as follows
to wit:
Beginning at a point in the west right-of-way line of Holt Road
(relocated) at its intersection with the northerly right-of-way line of
Gardenview Drive, said point being opposite and 25 feet left of
Holt Road Realignment Station 113+45.06; thence from said point
of beginning N 70°21' 11" W with the northerly right-of-way line
of said Gardenview Drive, 508.19 feet to a concrete monument at
the southeast corner of Lot B81 to Phase `B" of Stinespring
Estates; thence N 13° 37' 25" E with the east line of said Lot B81,
226.27 feet to an iron pipe at the northeast corner thereof, said
point also being in the southerly line of the Roy and Grace Vaughn
property per Deed Book 423, page 387; thence S 68° 19' 55" E
with said southerly line, 115.95 feet to an iron pipe at the southeast
corner thereof, said point also being at the southwest corner of the
Keven Sexton Property per Deed Book 765, page 679; thence S
70° 56' 39" E with the southerly line of said Sexton property,
355.33 feet to a rebar with cap in the west right-of-way line of
aforesaid Holt Road relocated; thence southwestwardly with the
west right-of-way line of said Holt Road relocated for the
following 3 calls; southwestwardly with a curve to the left having a

radius of 5,754.58 feet ( a chord being S 4° 25' 44" W, 10.35 feet)
10.35 feet to a point at the end of said curve, said point being
opposite and 25 feet right of Holt Road Realignment Station
115+67.73 feet; S 4° 22' 3 8" W, 143.94 feet to a point at the
beginning of a curve to the right having radius of 5,704.58 feet, said
point being opposite and 25 feet right of Holt Road Realignment
Station 114+23.79 feet and southwestwardly with said curve to the
right (a chord being S 4° 46' 15" W, 78.38 feet) 78.39 feet to a
rebar with cap, the point of beginning and containing 2.506 acres as
shown on "Plat of Survey for Herbert Chapman" prepared by
Hunter Martin & Associates, Inc. dated February 27, 1997.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
