HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO #2810134 A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ACCEPT A LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $81,885 THROUGH THE KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT, TO REPLACE PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT KEILER PARK WHEREAS, on May 24, 2022, the Board of Commissioners approved an application for a Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant in the amount of $81,885; and KENTUCKY: WHEREAS, these grant funds have now been awarded to the City of Paducah. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to accept the Land and Water Conservation Grant through the Kentucky Department of Local Government in the amount of $81,885. This grant will be used to replace playground equipment at Keiler Park, which will make the playground inclusive and accessible for all children. There is a 50% match requirement for this grant in the amount of $81,885. Funds for this project will be paid from the Keiler Park Playground Project, PAO130. SECTION 2.
