ESTABLISHMENT OF A CENTRALIZED UNIFIED Set*-- m , o R A FR JOB CLASSIFICATION AND PAY SCHEDULE FOR ALL CITY OF PADUCAH EMPLOYEES B o k Pe'R,S0OUNGt_ WHEREAS, the City has heretofore enacted various separate ordinances c Pf k N GL S regarding the classification and pay structures for employees of the City, including a separate ordinance for civil service employees, for noncivil service employees, for members of the police department, and for members of the fire department, and for the provision of a salary schedule for certain employees; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission that the City adopt and implement a comprehensive schedule which shall set forth classifications and pay structures for all City employees within a. singular schedule. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. There is hereby created and authorized the job classifications and pay schedule as described in the Unified Job Classification and Pay Schedule for the City of Paducah employees, which Schedule incorporates and restates those job classifications and pay schedules which are presently stated in City ordinances heretofore adopted by the City relating to civil service employees, noncivil service employees, members of the police department, members of the fire department, and to a salary schedule for certain employees. A copy of this Unified Job Classification and Pay Schedule is attached hereto. This schedule shall be maintained as a permanent record in the City Clerk's Office and the City Personnel Office. Section 2. The Schedule may be amended by the City Commission from time to time. An amendment to this Schedule may be made by a municipal order duly adopted by the City Commission in lieu of an ordinance as permitted by KRS 83A.060(13). Upon the enactment of any amendment to the Schedule, the Schedule shall be restated so as to include the enacted amendment. Section 3. In light of the recodification of the job classification and pay schedules into the Unified Job Classification and Pay Schedule which is created by this 672 Ordinance, the following ordinances, or sections thereof, are unnecessary, and accordingly, are hereby repealed: a. Ordinances relating to civil service employees: 1. Ordinance No. 2000-9-6264; 2. Ordinance No. 2000-8-6248; 3. Ordinance No. 2000-7-6232; 4. Ordinance No. 2000-6-6227; 5. Ordinance No. 2000-6-6211; 6. Ordinance No. 2000-4-6183; and 7. Ordinance No. 2000-4-6177. b. Ordinances relating to noncivil service employees: 1. Ordinance No. 2000-10-6280; 2. Ordinance No. 2000-9-6265; 3. Ordinance No. 2000-8-6249; 4. Ordinance No. 2000-7-6239; C5. Ordinance No. 2000-7-6231; 6. Ordinance No. 2000-6-6226; 7. Ordinance No. 2000-6-6212; 8. Ordinance No. 2000-4-6184; and 9. Ordinance No. 2000-4-6176. C. Ordinance relating to members of the police department: 1. Ordinance No. 2000-6-6225, Section 1(a) only; 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
