Attendees: Melinda Winchester, Amanda Johnson, Greg McCord
Absent: Heather Coltharp, Chris Jones
Staff: Palmer Stroup-PlannerI
Guests: Calvin Shanks -Applicant, Jimmy & Tana Ivitts-Applicants, Tim and Leslie Moore- Public
Commissioner Winchester called the called meeting of the HARC to order at 5:30 pm.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Winchester offered the following Motion:
I move that the reading of the minutes for April w, 2022 meeting be waived and that the minutes of said meeting,
prepared by the secretary, be approved as written.
Commissioner Johnson provided a second.
The motion passed with 3 Ayes (Winchester. Johnson, McCord) o Nays

Applicant: Calvin Shanks Address: 337 N. 161h Street
Request for Certificate of Zoning Compliance
Planning Staff presented the staff report.
The floor was opened up to discussion and concluded with public comment from Tim and Leslie Moore.
Commissioner Johnson made following motion:
I move that this Commission Approve the Certificate of Zoning Compliance Request of Calvin Shanks for the
proposed work at 337 N. 1611 Street.
I further move that the approval be based on the following findings of fact
• The proposed action is in conformity with the zoning requirements and intent of the Ordinance;
• The proposed action as given by the HARC is in conformity and complies with a majority of the Fountain Avenue
Design Standards and Secretary of Interior Standards for Rehabilitation.
The Motion was seconded by Commissioner McCord and adopted with 3 Ayes (Winchester, McCord, Johnson) and o
Nays.

Request for Certificate of Appropriateness
Planning Staff Presented the staff report
Commissioner McCord gave the following motion:
I move that this Commission Approve the Certificate of Appropriateness request of Rodney Worak for the
construction of a rear yard pool and fence at 524 N. 7`^ Street.
I further move that the approval be based on the following findings of fact
• The proposed action is in conformity with the zoning requirements for rear yard fence height and safety
requirements for pool fencing
• The proposed fence design and materials are in conformity with the H-2 Design Standards

Commissioner Winchester made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner McCord provided a second.
The motion passed with 3 Ayes (Winchester, McCord, Johnson) o Nays
The meeting was adjourned at 6:41 PM
