HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO #2754MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 2754 A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING THE PADUCAH DOG PARKS CIVIL CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DOG PARKS IN NOBLE PARK IN THE AMOUNT OF $507,302 WHEREAS, on April 25, 2023, the Board of Commissioners approved a motion authorizing the City Manager to proceed with design development for the dog parks and to issue a Request for Proposals for construction of the dog park; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for the Development and operation of the Paducah -McCracken County Athletic Complex (hereinafter the "Interlocal Agreement'), both the City and County elected bodies must approve the budget for construction of the dog park; and WHEREAS, the Interlocal Agreement allows the design and construction costs of the Noble Park Dog Park to be paid as development costs under the agreement, but only to the extent such costs do not exceed the current costs that would be incurred to replicate the quality of the existing dog park on the Stuart Nelson Park Property; and WHEREAS, the City now wishes to approve the civil construction estimate for the dog park for both those costs to be paid as development costs and for those additional costs related to road improvements, paved parking areas, and pet fountains. KENTUCKY: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby approves the Paducah Dog Parks Civil Construction Estimate in a total amount of $507,302. This total amount shall include Development Costs in the amount of $278,424, road improvements in the amount of $136,368, Alternate 41 Paved Parking Areas in the amount of $17,510, and Alternate 42 Pedestal/Pet Fountain in an amount of $75,000. SECTION 2. These expenditures shall be charged to the Sportsplex Account Number 4200-0216-580890. SECTION 3.
