A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH 911 FLEET AND FIRE EQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $42,540 FOR THE
PURCHASE OF BAILOUT KITS AND HARNESSES FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, On August 23, 2022, the Paducah Fire Department was notified they
were the recipient of a FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant in the amount of $237,272 to
purchase Source Capture Exhaust Systems for each of the five fire stations and to purchase
bailout kits and harnesses for all City firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved acceptance of the grant on
September 13, 2022, with Municipal Order 2637; and
WHEREAS, one proposal was received from 911 Fleet and Fire Equipment on
April 28, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Commission hereby approves an Agreement with 911 Fleet and
Fire Equipment the amount of $42,540 for the purchase of Bailout Kits and Harnesses for the
Fire Department, and authorizes the Mayor to execute all documents related to same.
SECTION 2. These expenditures shall be funded by the FEMA Assistance to
Firefighters Grant through Project Account FI0038. The required local match amount of 10%
will be charged to Account No. 1000 1801 523070.
SECTION 3. This Order shall be in full force a effect from and after the date
of its adoption. n
