A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE
AGREEMENT WITH ATLANTIC EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE
OF ONE (1) PUMPER TRUCK IN THE DISCOUNTED AMOUNT OF $772,913 FOR USE
BY THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE
DIRECTOR TO MAKE PAYMENT TO ATLANTIC EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS, INC. FOR
SAID PURCHASE CONTINGENT UPON APPROVAL THROUGH THE FY2024 BUDGET
WHEREAS, Houston Galveston Area Council (H -GAC) Cooperative Purchasing
Program procured Contract FS12-19 with Atlantic Emergency Solutions, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah approved Municipal Order 92499 which
approved a cooperative purchasing agreement with the H -GAC; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah now desires to purchase a Pumper Truck for the
Paducah Fire Department utilizing Atlantic Emergency Solutions, Inc. through the H -GAC
cooperative purchasing agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a purchase agreement
with Atlantic Emergency Solutions, Inc. and all documents related to same for the purchase of
one (1) Pumper Truck in a pre -payment discounted amount of $772,913, said agreement and
prepayment being contingent upon funding approval authorization as approved by the FY2024
budget.
SECTION 2. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to make
pre -payment to Atlantic Emergency Solutions, Inc. after the FY2024 budget approval in an
amount of $772,913 for the purchase of one (1) Pumper Truck for use by the Paducah Fire
Department. The original price is $804,187, with a prepayment discount sum of $31,274, making
a final price of $772,913. Further, prepayment is hereby authorized in order to utilize the
prepayment discount.
SECTION 3. This purchase shall be charged to the Rolling Stock/Fleet Lease
Trust Fund - Vehicles account number 71000210-540050.
SECTION 4. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its adoption.
